WHY IT MATTERS

Quote from Amy Schwabenlender, CEO Keys to Change: “Homeless outreach is all about meeting people where they are. Key Campus is built with accessibility in mind, and for those who are unhoused near downtown Phoenix, we offer all the care and resources they need in a single location, including food, shelter, case management, medical care, and more, says Amy Schwabenlender, CEO of Keys to Change. “And we recognize that not everyone has the transportation or means to make it here on their own. With that in mind, Project Connect events provide the opportunity to ‘take the Campus on the road,’ to engage with people in need across the valley and throughout Maricopa County. We’re excited to partner with our host site in Gilbert, and we’re looking forward to another incredible day of connection and solution-building.”

Quote from host site: “Redemption Church is excited to partner with Keys to Change and the municipalities of Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert to be able to host a Project Connect event for those in our community who are facing issues related to poverty,” says Sean Warren, Community Engagement Pastor with Redemption Gilbert. “It is our privilege to provide the space and volunteers to serve our community this way! Thank you to our city officials and local non-profits for making this a priority.”

More from Amy Schwabenlender, CEO Keys to Change: “Project Connect allows those with the heart for service to put their compassion into action,” adds Schwabenlender. “We’re grateful to the host site and to our volunteers for being willing to walk the walk to create meaningful change in our neighbors’ lives.”
