COVID19 – April 13 – Update
Collaboration in Action!
From the front lines of serving adults experiencing homelessness, the doors to the Human Services Campus remain open and partners are creatively solving for ways to keep helping people to move from street to home. All clients are assessed each time they enter the Campus or shelter for COVID-19. Circle the City assists with full health assessments and refers people to appropriate health care services, if needed. We are providing the best replacement option to “stay home” by working together to educate our collective clients about how to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and offering them safe spaces.
Most recently:
- As of 2:00 PM on April 13, 2020 we are not aware of any clients or employees testing positive for COVID-19.
- As CDC guidelines continue to evolve, donations of masks will be appreciated for a long time. Handmade, cloth masks are great for clients/patients and non-medical frontline staff.
- Any clients staying in shelter will be asked to wear a face mask and all clients coming on to the Campus will be strongly encouraged to wear a face mask. Maricopa County is supplying some, however they will not be able to meet the full demand.
- HSC is launching THIRST AID early this year in order to start securing bottled water now for our clients. The launch will be Saturday, April 18th (see below).
- The zoning case to add shelter beds is still alive, although official meetings with City voting committees are paused. The campaign web site https://fromstreettohome.org/ Please share with your networks; there are three online actions that supporters can take now.
- Homeless ID Project has created a way to provide phone support to clients.
- Circle the City has isolation spaces ready and available on Campus for individuals experiencing homelessness that have been tested for COVID-19.
- HSC had a successful Donation Drive By on Saturday, April 4thfrom 9 am to Noon on Harrison Street. We will share whatever we collect as much as possible with our Campus partners. Our next Drive-By event will be for bottled water with a kick-off on April 18th.

Stay safe and healthy! On behalf of all of us at the Human Services Campus, thank you for your compassionate support. Stay safe and healthy!
