COVID19 – April 27 – Update

Collaboration in Action!

• As of 1:00 PM April 27, 2020 we are not aware of any HSC clients or employees testing positive for COVID-19.

• St. Joseph the Worker and A New Leaf have resumed some services on Campus via limited office hours.

• HSC is working with Maricopa County to staff a “Safe Outdoor Space” at 9^th Avenue and Madison. Many thanks to Community Bridges for assisting the voluntary move of people who wanted to relocate their tent to this space. The space has toilets, hand washing stations, and a hydration station. The space will not be open long-term, so we are working to identify ways to provide summer heat relief day space and shelter space for as many people as possible.

• We continue to provide COVID-19 screening at entry to the Campus, with referral to Circle the City for anyone who answers yes to the questions/ has a fever over 100.4 degrees. Clients in shelter are required to wear a face mask. Clients are offered face masks at entry to the Campus and in the Welcome Center as well.
