DONATION DRIVE-BY: PULL UP, POP THE TRUNK, WE’LL DO THE REST
Human Services Campus Schedules Needed-Item Collection Event on Saturday
PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 30, 2020): The Human Services Campus has planned a Donation Drive-By from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 to collect much-needed items for individuals experiencing homelessness on the 13-acre campus. Items can be delivered to the Harrison Street Gate at 1300 W. Harrison in downtown Phoenix.
“This couldn’t be easier,” said Human Services Campus, Inc., Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender. “Pull up, pop the trunk and our staff will do the rest. And please know how grateful we are at a time when all of our worlds have turned upside down, but knowing we can’t turn our backs on those who really need our help.”
Schwabenlender said that campus partners are in the process of adapting the campus to provide isolation for men and women exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 “at the same time as we continue our focus on protecting the health and safety of individuals experiencing homelessness and our staff.”
Among the items needed:
- Liquid hand soap
- Trash bags
- Clorox wipes
- Bottled water
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste and tooth brushes
- Feminine hygiene products
- Adult diapers (pull ups)
- Exam gloves (nitrile, powder-free, 15 ml thick)
- Tents at least 84-inches long
- Sleeping bags
