- Key Campus (formerly Human Services Campus) holds their next monthly Thirst Aid water drive on Saturday, August 3rd, from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Thirst Aid collections will take place the first Saturday of every month through September.
- 120,000 bottles of water are needed each month through September.
- Additional urgent seasonal needs include electrolyte powdered drink packets, sunscreen and SPF lip balm, solid grey bandanas (no patterns), sun hats, baseball caps, sunglasses, insulated water jugs (half-gallon preferred) and cooling wraps and towels.
- Donations of hygiene items and pet supplies are always accepted.
- The collection location is near the Harrison Street Gate at 1300 W. Harrison in Phoenix. (Access is off 15th Avenue just north of the railroad tracks).
- Keys to Change and partner organizations will utilize all donations to serve individuals experiencing homelessness, sheltered and unsheltered.
- St. Joseph the Worker, a community partner in workforce development who founded Thirst Aid during their time on Campus, is our featured partner for the August Thirst Aid drive.
- “The Phoenix summer is longer and hotter than ever before, which means we need an unprecedented level of community support to ensure our unhoused neighbors are safe and hydrated,” said Keys to change Director of Development Christina Fankhauser. “Through outreach and volunteer support, we’re working every day to prevent heat related illnesses and deaths.”
- “Initially focused on providing essential water supplies during the scorching summer months to those seeking employment at St. Joseph the Worker, this initiative has evolved and now supports dozens of nonprofits, thanks to hundreds of water donors,” said Carrie Masters, CEO of St. Joseph the Worker.
- Keys to Change, a 501c3 nonprofit agency, owns and operates a 13-acre campus at 12th Avenue and Madison that is home to 15 nonprofit organizations providing services and resources to help people end their homelessness.
- Currently, more than 900 individuals experiencing homelessness are sheltered every night on the Campus. More than 1,200 access services on the campus during the day.

About Key Campus
Founded in 2005, the Key Campus, formerly Human Services Campus, is a collaborative force of partner organizations united on one campus to end homelessness. Located just west of downtown Phoenix, 15 independent agencies on the Campus see nearly 1,000 individuals every day, offering a holistic range of client services including: reunification with family and friends; mental, physical and dental health; shelter; employment; meals; legal services and housing.
