PROKURE DONATING UP TO 60 GALLONS A MONTH OF EPA-APPROVED DISINFECTANT PRODUCT TO HUMAN SERVICES CAMPUS
PHOENIX, Ariz. (July 28, 2020): A Valley-based manufacturing company is donating up to 60 gallons a month of its liquid disinfectant, ProKure V, for the Human Services Campus (HSC) to use to clean and disinfect the 13-acre campus that provides services and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness.
ProKure V is on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) List N, which meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19.
“We have put in place aggressive, comprehensive protocols and guidelines for cleaning, sanitation and disinfecting the campus, and having this extra level of protection is critical,” said HSC Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender. “We are deeply grateful for this important and generous donation to help us keep people at the campus safe.”
The donation is part of the company’s ProKure for Humanity effort. ProKure V can be sprayed, mopped or sponged on all hard, non-porous surfaces and is used in hospitals, clinics, commercial buildings, colleges, gyms, day care centers, public places, transportation vehicles and other commercial and residential facilities.
“The challenges of COVID-19 are dramatically compounded by the challenges for people experiencing homelessness and we’re very pleased to be able to help the Human Services Campus protect the clients as well as staff and volunteers who are doing incredible work in our community,” said Alex Cushman, President of ProKureTM Solutions.
HSC initiated COVID-19 hygiene and deep-cleaning policies in early April that include, among other tactics, requirements for all frontline staff to wear masks and gloves, installing plexiglass shields in high-contact areas and placing hand-washing stations across the campus.
All clients entering the Brian Garcia Welcome Center are screened for coronavirus symptoms and the campus has been adapted to conform to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention social distancing guidelines.
Campus partners Community Bridges and Circle the City are providing medical support.
